A day in the life of...

Well Its been a long time since the last update so heres my life as its been and stands, sorry for the wait those of you who look regularly (elena, that i know of). but life has been being a bit stressfull of late and when im online i hardly have time to chat to everyone never mind typing up my life. so i've come up with a new idea, i'm typing it up before and just have to cut and paste :>.
But enough of that and on with the show as they say, well im shure someone says it somewhere :P. This week has as said been chaos, my mom and lil brother came over to stay for awhile to see me and my gran, as you can imagine this caused all sorts of problems not just the fact that the flat is an amazingly big 3 rooms, 5 if you include the hall and kitchen :P. so it was all just a bit crowded! Aswell as this I have had the first few lesson of my new german course this last week. so i'm back in line with the rest of you with homework and the lot, at least those of you still at School, Uni or whatever. but at least its not too hard at the mo so i can catch up on a bit of sleep i've been missing!
Oh yeah, the biggest today is that it is exactly 6 months since i started over here in the army. Hell im surprise im still alive and have lasted this long. well only got... oh yeah.. err... another year and four months to go, hmm could be better, coud be alot shorter! oh well just have to make the best of a bad job, eh?
Well thats it for this evening, this seems to work quiet well now that i've got the system sorted, i'll be updating a lot more often form now on! Till next time everyone...
...I'll be back... ...Sometime!

The tyred recruit and the trains of doom!

I missed the train I wanted last night! So I had to get one an hour later and nearly missed that cos my relatives insisted on mucking about! anyway I got the later train just and then discovered that this one just a bit longer than the normal 3 and a half hours, it took 4 hours 51mins acording to the schedule thingy and the train was a bit slow and got there a bit late so in effect 5 hours! meaning that I got to linz at 00:17 exactly 2mins after the last tram had left!!!! no money at the mo so taxi was out of the question. Lets go for a little walk, just over 6 km :) in 1 hour 22 mins. getting me there for 01:39. getting to bed and a lovely sleep at 2am...
... to be awoken at 6am, to the beautiful cry of the charge! and since then its been another fine day, spent most of it running around like a headless chicken!!! Normaly there is hardly any work round here but when it comes it all comes at once and has to be done now no options!
I dont think theve got the hang of this forward planning thing yet over here. :P

Well as a famouse Austrian once said I'll be back.... eventualy!

Messages from home...

Well it's good to see some of you are still around!
Thanks to those of you who've posted and those who emailed.
Specialy to vika, who actualy posted. Are you back from nam now or whats going on at your end nowadays drop me an email sometime, ok?

I'll make an apologie right now. It looks like i told less of you that i was in the army than i had thought.
so i think id better update the record. I've been in the army for over 5 and a half months now. so all the shiny stuffs worn off and we're down to just having some seriouse fun. aswell as finding ways to entertain ourselves out of hours.

A brief history of my military career:
I joined up on the 4th of October, and was assigned to the flieger Regiment 2, the second air force regement. i went through my 2 month basic trainning in thier base in Zeltweg. I must say now that those two months we're cool, having a laugh on the trainning in the day and then in the evening going out for a pizza and getting drunk. Then after the 2 months basic we're up I was moved down to the regiments other base called Tahlerhof, which is basicaly Graz international airport. being just a few kilometers from home this was almost as good as the trainning months but now wasn't as much fun as we had to actualy do some work ocasionaly and not just have fun even though it was still a good laugh. Down in Thalerhof i was assigned to the watch meaning that i was one of the few people who we're allowed to wander around with live ammo. I dunno but it gives you a feeling of real responsibility when something like that happens to you. anyway shortly befor xmass, with some prompting from my dad i asked to sign up for whats called "ein Jahr Freiwillig" or one years voluntary. This is the fast track under officers course and which means at the end of the 10 month course I'll be a Wachmeister, and then i can elect to do a few more short courses and then i will be a leutenant. MMmmm... the atractions of higher rank! This meant that because there was no availability to do the course down in graz where i was, i was transfered to the "heeresPersonalAmt" or "HP@" basicaly the personnel department of the military. where I'll be staying untill at least june 3rd when i take the initial tests to join "EF" .

Yeah i know that thats a lot to go through but i'm sure you'll read it in the end.
well i think that's all for today, i might put some more up tomorrow, you never know.

As a famouse Austrian once said I'll be back... sometime.

First letters from the front

Hi and welcome to my life,
for the moment at least...

I'll just start of by saying thanks grae for showing me the cool site and giving me the idea to do one myself!

well whats going on in my life at the moment...
for those of you who dont already know i'm at present in the Austrian Bundesheer, basicaly the Austrian army, its one of those places with compulsory miliary service. but you all now i'm mad and so even though due to my dual nationality i don't have to do it i thought i go for a laugh. the only thing is that im nolonger just along for the laugh, i've decided to sign up for another year after the basic service period, 8 months, at the end of which i will be a seargent and then after a few short curses after that i'll be a leutenant. i'm looking forward to getting home and seeing what kerny thinks of all this. lol. see if he kicks my ass out of german now! haha!

anyway in addition to this im going in for my A driving licence and i'm seriously contemplating going mental and seeing if i can get all the classes on my driving licence filled. just for the laugh!

well thats all for today ill update as and when anything interesting happens, like i get shot or something. lol.

as a famouse Austrian once said "I'll be back!".... Eventualy.
